We meet most Wednesday evenings from 7:30pm and our current rehearsal venue is the Alma Road Social Club, 73a Alma Road, Windsor, SL4 3HD, close to the A308, Goslar Way junction.
Click here to link to the map of the area. There are a few parking places in front of the Social Club, otherwise find a place in the nearby roads - some of which have payment meters until about 8pm.
From the M4, take exit 6 and the A355/A332 towards Windsor. Continue over the River Thames, then the road comes down to ground level at a roundabout with traffic lights. Take the second exit - the A332/A308 - and at the next roundabout take the first exit, into Alma Road. The Social Club is almost immediately on your left.
From the M25, take exit 13 towards Windsor on the A308. Continue along the A308, following the directions to Maidenhead. The loop of road just north of King Edward’s hospital on the map is a one-way system. As you come out of that system, at a roundabout (with a dual carriageway ahead), take the second exit into Alma Road. The Social Club is almost immediately on your left.
St Lukes Church, Old Windsor
On some occasions we also rehearse at St. Luke’s Church in Old Windsor. This is a small wooden building located on St. Luke’s Road (B3021) in Old Windsor just opposite William Ellis Close. St. Luke’s Road is reached from Straight Road (A308). If you are coming South on Straight Road, turn right on St. Luke’s Road and the church will be about 300 yards on your left. If coming North, turn left and immediate right on Burfield Road at the junction of the A308 and Priest Hill (A328). After about three-quarters of a mile, Burfield Road becomes St. Luke’s Road and the church will be on your right immediately after Lynwood Drive. Click here to link to the map of the area.
